Aislinn Hennessy is a fiercely independent modern woman with a questionable taste in men. No man in her world lived up to the men she envisioned in her highly successful romance novels. Lost in the Mist of Time by author Karen Michelle Nutt, is an intriguing story based in Ireland during the sixteenth century. Fiction is hard to write, but to write a book that is based on historical facts and then make those facts entertaining is quite challenging. Once you start to read this book you will not be able to put it down, as the characters come alive on the pages. This book is filed with love, danger, fear and courage as well as strong characters and vivid descriptions of Castles in the years gone by. Lost in the Mist of Time is an entertaining book and truly one of the best books that I have read in many years. This is one of the best time-travel books I have ever read. The author takes you back to 16th Century Ireland with such vivid detail that you will feel like you were there. Aislinn is a strong willed woman of the 21st century and Dougray, the gorgeous hunk, is from the 16th Century. Their banter at times is hilarious. You will simply love this couple as Aislinn tries to adjust to castle life, and Dougray tries to keep her out of trouble. Outstanding!

In this modern day fairy tale, Karen Michelle Nutt entrances her readers to enter into her latest novel entitled Lost in the Mist of Time. First we meet Aislinn Hennessy, an independent, intelligent, beautiful woman. She is romance writer who loves writing romance tales but can never seem to find a real one. Her past relationships failed horribly and nothing appears to be changing until she reaches the mist. While driving she hits a stranger. Someone who appears to be from another century the sixteenth century to be exact. Sir Dougray Fitzpatrick, Lord of Dunhaven’s history not much brighter than Aislinn’s, encounters each other with much suspicion. However, they are destined to meet. Sir Fitzpatrick, a widow, was told by a psychic he would meet a traveler who would help him set the future right. Through their fights, turbulent battles, sometimes, humorous trickeries, and always wild adventures, Dougray discovers Aislinn to be a woman of great strength, heart, and love. Aislinn finds Dougray as a man of courage, bravery, and honor. Their beautifully told story keeps readers in constant suspense. Nutt is an excellent storyteller with a knack for pace, rhythm and description. She conveys the story without giving away too much too soon with artistic grace. Lost in the Mist of Time is precisely where the readers will find themselves as soon as they turn the first page. It is truly a thrilling read.

I absolutely loved this book! It is impossible to not get caught up in the storyline and fall in love with the characters. Nutt's writing flows well throughout the novel, remaining captivating until the very end. Lost in the Mist of Time is an amazing read and my only regret is finishing the book, it's that great!

I couldn't put this down. Great characters that come alive. Don't miss out on the adventure!
